Default 6.70's in a junkyard 6.0

put a 6.0 out of a 2002 truck stuck some stock 799 heads milled .040 and some thin head gaskets and a polluter cam from tick perf. victor carb intake and a msd 6010 box in my 85 turbo regal untuned went 6.90's shifting at 6500on my third and last pass.the higher i turned the motor the faster it went.it went a 7.13 first pass shifting at 6000 getting a feel for the car....

240 plus duration and a little over 600 lift,the cam makes great midrange...

3200 lbs full int. and two chamber flow master mufflers no nitrous...heads are stock except for having them milled .040 i think 6.70's wont be out of the question...

stock susp. with comp.eng shocks and qa1 coil springs 4.11 gear turbo action 4000 conv and turbo 350 had mid 1.40 short times.it was 80 plus degree's that day and had a very strong head wind...

went back to the track today and put more timing in it picked it up a tenth,6.80's with more in it.seems like ls motor's with carbs like timing,also picked up the mph.....

still running short tire's 26 by 10's and it has 36 degree's of timing number 6 pill,dmmizell sounds good what kind of mufflers do you have on it,sure runs good how much does it weigh.like to know some more info on it them L92 heads kick ***...

Billy,
No mufflers, just 3 inch dumps. It weighs 2900lbs which helps.
Since I was building this as carb setup and had to buy a manifold, the 317 heads got sold at a swapmeet.
Turn it to 7000 at shiftpoint and through the traps at 7K.
I did not mean to hijack your thread..... just wanted to post what is possible with these junkyard 6.0's!

just want to know how i can get a little faster,is that 2900 with you in it.i'm thinking of putting heads on my car and dont what way to go...i do need a electric water pump
