Ancient thread but I gotta dispel a myth!
The stock 75mm truck intake will make power to 6500rpm
I'm running one on my 383 truck peaking at 6400rpm without a huge cam
and if you are going to Change intakes get the TBSS aka new body style intake it's worth 10-15rwhp k im done
