Default cam only carb'd setup with 6010 box

what's your total timing that you figured out at the track?

i have a cam only, vic jr, 4150 setup. what was your total timing after adjusting for best mph. I'm at 28 degrees on premium, just trying to see how much higher I should be shooting for next time out. Trying to get in the ballpark for pinks all out instead of paying for a dyno tune if I don't have enough time off work beforehand.

Carbs have colder fuel and IATs so they can take a little more timing but i only ran mine to about 32 degrees.

I've gotta upgrade to this box one of these days. I'm still running the pill style on my car and have no idea what the timing is at. I've got the "Curve 6" in it and I'm running PRC heads, MS3 and a 150 shot

If you are running the edelbrock box isn't that pill 36*? Seems like way too much timing on a 150hp shot.

msd box has two power wires one pulls up to 10 degrees timing for nitros when enabled and the second has a two step. I have the msd box which you can tune your advance and add vacuum advance to it. Pulled pcm out and am awaiting motor parts.

I don't have the slighest idea what the pills are. If anyone knows shoot me a PM

The car didn't run too bad on a 125 shot with that pill in it.

iirc u can look up the timing degrees for each pill, i oroignally used the edelbrock box also and i think the stock engine pill was 25 degrees iirc.
the manual i had listed the timing ranges for each pill, but who knows where i the hell i lost it.

pill #6
0 rpm-22*
800 rpm-32*
4500 rpm-32*
6700 rpm-36*
6800 rpm-36*
6900 rpm-36*

Seems like a lot of timing and you aren't even able to pull any for the nitrous with that box. You should probably upgrade to the msd 6010.

wonder how the car would run with one of the other pills in it. It'll be a while before I got the cash again to upgrade to the 6010
