1991 camaro ls1 swap, what headers I am putting a ls1 in a 1991 camaro and want to go with headers while I am at it.... I know hawks sells headers, but will normal LS1 headers fit? I am gonna wind up using the texas speed true dual exhaust on it if they will work!

in which case i wouldnt care because im using a true dual exhaust anyhow so it will all be custom, HOWEVER if it was something like "they dont work because the headers hit the steering" then thatd be a different story...

no the underside of a 3rd gen looks nothing like a 4th gen. the motor in a 4th gen is under the cowl whereas in a 3rd gen it's out in the open, etc.
if they fit both years then the manufacturers would sell them as such. Only people that sell them is hawks, or pay to have a custom set made up. I built my own for around $375

so the 1 5/8, 1 3/4 will the best bang for the buck generic lts for swaps. imo
I've never seen a motor not pick up HP when they're around where i'm at by going to bigger primaries.

1 5/8 shorties hurt my performance on my s10 when i built it, 1 3/4 primaries would have been nice at that time.
As for the hawks headers, they are $$$ but they are very nice headers. installed mine and i didnt have any issues with them.
