Default water temp sender

im having trouble trying to get a adapter from 12mm to 1/8"mpt so i can get my temp sender in my cyl. head. does any one have a fix?

drill it out and tap it for the new thread, very easy, very quick, get a tap at local hardware store, use recommended drill and dip it in grease to catch the shavings. I've done it on 2 cars .

You can't drill the cylinder head for 1/8 NPT because 12mm is bigger than 1/8 NPT, but the factory 12mm plug in the head can be drilled and tapped.

Several places make adapters. Equus, Sun Pro, I think autometer.

Look through some old posts.

ive also seen the water pump drilled and taped on the top flat round spot.. may be the road i take, lil leary of drilling on brand new prc heads of mine and hoping they dont weep afterward,

Another option is, You can drill and tap it to 1/4", the use a adapter for the 1/4" to 1/8" NPT. Or get a 1/4" sender.

Dakota digital has a sender that is right size 12mm 1.5

Adapter is Autometer # 2277,
Sender is Autometer # 2259..........Jegs has them or autometer themselves....
