So I had to take the car through emissions tonight and am happy to say that the cam was just right to pass. I even had the guy who was driving the car on the rollers comment that it was a "finely tuned automobile" and said that most cars that are souped up drive like **** and are hard to follow the accel/decel line on the screen but this one was great. LOL! After making sure that meant that we passed I told him it made around 380 rwhp like that and he was in disbelief. It was even funnier when I told him it had a corvette motor in it... then I got the hell out of there. The cam for reference is a lower lift version of the Flowtech Induction Street Sweeper-TQ (220/224 - 112 lsa).

Anyways on the applicable standard for emissions compared to what the car blew is listed below.

Allowed Actual
HC .80 .67
CO 12.0 2.49
NOX 2.00 1.59

How long did the wiring take you? I'll be doing a LQ4/T56 swap soon in my 95 and looking forward to it. I've heard the T56 swap was a pain, but after seeing it's minimal cutting, I'm not worried about it...awesome. Good thread!

Didn't take long, I used a Speartech harness.

Any Advice?

This is a sweet build, and a great reference for my build which is basically the same, but with an LS3. I havent torn apart the wiring of my 96 yet, so this may be a stupid question but:
Do your airbags still work? I'm not sure if the airbags system goes through the mustang ECU.

Thanks!
Rich

Missed this one. I think they still work but I am not going to try it out. LOL! I believe the wiring does not go through the ECU and that's the only wiring harness I removed.

Screw it leave the BOSS stickers on! Nobody will think that a car with hideous graphics will actually be fast!!

So I finally took the LS-stang on it's maiden voyage down the track. Biggest reason for waiting so long was that the battery was in the back and wouldn't fit up front without relocating things so I wasn't in a huge hurry to do it. But of course now that the weather is starting to warm up a bit I figured I had better get it out there.

It went 12.28 @ 114.8 on it's 2nd pass but the stock LS1 clutch was hating life the whole time. 3rd pass the clutch smelled pretty bad and slipped all through 1st and into 2nd so I said enough was enough.

Here was the first pass, didn't get the 2nd pass on video because the Camera man was looking for me in the lanes.

Very nice! I see you left the graphics on. How is it on the street? Do you remember what the CAI and filter are from? Looks perfect for my setup also.

Well the graphics are only left on because they are painted on and not easily removed which takes money and that ain't happening right now. It feels really good on the street. The CAI was just the factory pipe from an 04 GTO and the filter I just found at the local auto parts store by pulling them out of the boxes and measuring. LOL

If all possible could you post pics of the interior after everything was all said and done? I have a 95 cobra I just parted just to do this swap and dying to see how everything looks with the whole fbody cluster and shifter placement and everything.

I'll try to take some pictures of the interior, etc as it sits this weekend.

Irish350, I think I made a thread for it on performancetrucks.net but none here. I do have the truck on my site though with a few pics.
