I'm about to start a similar project in a 96GT. Can you explain why you had to do coilovers? And if you've got any other advice or warnings I would appreciate it.

It depends on the components chosen. He used a k member that didnt allow him to use factory a arms. I went with the AJE member w/spring perches on my 96 and factory a arms went on fine.

My advice or warning is be prepaired to spend money...and lots of it! My motor alone has cost me around 5500 (and rising). Thats just the parts and build, not including what i paid for the swap originally. Patience and finance management is the key and will be much more respected and appreciated. Good Luck!

im glad i ran across this! i was gonna sale my 97 gt till a buddy of mines said..do a stroker lsx swap..so here we go!


two questions i have is how is the shifter set up? as far as moving it back 4in etc..did you have to trim the center console any?

and the tranny..how much of a pain was it to set the MC up and run everything? pics look easy lol..but they can be decieving..

Thread resurrection! Any of you guys got updated photos of these little monsters?
I'm planning a SN95 LM7/T56 swap at the moment, the clutch pedal thing seems to be the only tricky bit.

how did u get the t56 in there and working? i have a totaled ta with a ls3 and t56 in it and it is fast as crap but it needs too much body work and id rathar put it in my mustang
