Question 95 Firebird to LS1 - Air intake trouble

Hello everyone,

I've been on the site millions of times and finally joined today. I have a question for you guys.... I did a conversion on a 95 Firebird to and LS1 and the LS1 air intake is too big and won't let my stock 95 hood close. I found a K&N air intake assembly for like $400 and I know I can do Ram Air Hood, but I'm not quiet ready to change my hood just yet. So I'm trying to see what are my options other than K&N. Any suggestions will be helpful.

Thanks,

Themis

you could use a stock LT1 intake from any non ram air model, and buy some universal tubes in correct sizes to make adapters for it. Or just make your own intake alltogether, PVC would work for a temp solution or you could have any mandrel bender make you one.
