Default Automatic harness with t-56.

Is there anything special I have to do with the harness (came out of an 07 silverado with AT) if im using a t-56? Or will the VSS hook up to the t-56 and backup switch as well?

Also are there any good write ups or wiring diagrams for the e38 harness?

we have made a couple of drifting cars with a at wiring and t56 with no problems. in a daily driven car i would reebuild the wiring, and removed it from the ecu.

Just remove the automatic control wiring. You will need to edit the tune and maybe add speed sensor or lockout wiring.

What car or truck did the PCM and harness you have come from?

You can always have another base program loaded. However, it may be more safe to wire for the existing program. Although doubtful there could be hardware changes among the E38 PCMs.

These are some good posts to check out.

This one contains the diagrams for an 07 and 08 1500 truck.

Its going to be a little of both, but removing the unnecessary wires from the ecm seems like a good idea.

Thanks, that last one had the e38 diagram I was looking for. The ecm is out of an 07 (new style) silverado as is the harness and the motor.
