Power Steering info needed
Looks like I have a Hyrdoboost PS pump on my 6.0/Express Van motor and I am putting this in a 71 chevy P/U using the original steering box.
I am not interested in using hydroboost on this thing.
Can I still use this pump and T the low pressure side of the box/pump/Resevior or do I need a different PS pump?
If I need a different pump, will it fit in the bracketry that I have now (stock 6.0 express van)?

the PS pump I have has 3 ports.
A high pressure port, A resevior port (19/32" hose) and a low pressure side.
there is a good bit of info on the hydroboost out there for those wanting to convert to it. but not much on the other way...
nova guy: if that LS1 PS pump would fit in my bracket I would just swap ya.

We used the '99 Fbody LS1 PS pump with our HydroBoost (from a '97 Mustang GT) with no problems. Both take Dexron fluid, and the GM pump puts out something near 1200 psi. We used Parker "26-Series" JIC 37deg fittings for making up the hoses using Parker SAE100R9 hose. See Parker catalog 4400. We also used 37deg "banjo-type" fittings on the HB unit.
