Wiring help, 5.3 truck harness into s10
Ok so here is the plan. gonna be a fuel injected 5.3 into my 95 s10, using stock truck harness...
just a few questions...
Plan is to gut everything out and just trying to figure out if anything needs to stay.
1. Will the fuel pump be ran by the 5.3's ECU? or should i just wire that up on a switch?
2. The truck will have th350 or th400, Planning on keeping the ignition so i need a key and wanting to have an "arming" swith then push button to start so will i be able to just run a new wire from a 12v to the stock ignition then into the switch then into the push button then of course to the starter? I've heard something about the nuetral safety switch? but with doing all my own wiring to get rid of everything and just re wire what i need will i still run into this?
3. Wiring in a rear mounted cut off switch, i know its been discussed over and over but with just the truck harness and no body harness where will i need to tap in so everything shuts off with the switch? There will be the stock truck harness fuse block and i'll be putting in a fuse panel for everything i will be wiring individually body wise...
Thats all i can think of for now but will add more as i think of them....
Thanks in advance!

fuel pump
The fuel pump should be run off the fuel pump relay, which gets energized when you turn on the ignition. Mines run off the Fuel Pump relay on the underhood fuse box from a 2005 Silverado. (96 S10 Blazer with 2005 5.3)
