Default 05 Truck MAF vs 08 Truck MAF?

I swapped LS1 motor in my '49 Buick for a L92 motor from an '08 Escalade. I was using truck 5pin MAF on my LS1, from like a '05 Truck and everything was good. I didnt get a new MAF with the L92, tried plugging the old one in today and the MAF connector is different, seems in the L92 wiring harness the MAF connector is same 5 pins but physically connector is wider and doesnt plug in. Are the MAF sensors interchangeble? I can replace the connector, but cant find any info on MAF differences.. Im running E38 ECM btw. Tried starting the car with no MAF and no pedal plugged in, got coils firing but injectors dont. Starts if I spray starting fluid into the TB, otherwise just cranks...

Allright, got it started this mourning. Wasnt the MAF or the pedal, turns out that VATS was disabled, but there was another option called "STARTER CHECK", and until I disabled that it wouldnt start. On a side note, got a new Delphi MAF from autoparts for $150 including the core charge, so not too bad.
