Exclamation Water temp sensor question, HELP!!!!

I'm almost done with my carbed 5.3 in a 77 Nova, and can't figure out how to run an mechanical water temp guage!?!?! Can the factory sensor be wired to work some how, or is there some sort of adaptor? All I would need is the nut that the sensor goes through, that would fit the factory metric thread. I know there are carb guys out there, if anyone has ANY info please HELP!!!! Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default

just buy a 1/4" npt thread tap at the hardware store, grease it up and run it right into the metric threads, the threads are very close so it doesnt take much to cut. then you can run a mech sender with the common size threads.

Autometer makes a 12 mm adapter or get one from Street and Performance. I installed it on the right head and left the original one on the left head for the computer to use.
