Default Malibu 80

I have an 80 model malibu that i am wanting to put a ls1 motor in. I was wondering what kind of headers you would use when you use the 1inch set back motor mounts. Any other information on what kind of oil pans or any other helpful information would be nice.
Thanks
Hunter Davidson

for headers, might have to fabricate your own, or go with some shorties or exhaust manifolds of other vehicles.
f-body oil pan is most popular for swaps, although the c6 and cts-v pans are also very similiar to the f body in design and clearance

Malibu is a g-body, so you'll need everything required for a g-body ls1 swap. good luck

is your car a column shift or console car? if its a column shift have fun getting the linkage to work with longtubes. If you get it to work out cheaply and easily let us know.

Search this forum for 'G-body', 'monte', and 'malibu'. You can also check out maliburacing.com as they have a forum dedicated to LSx swaps.

Don't forget to share some progress photo's with us as you go!

What is the best kind of intake you can buy for putting a carb on one. I want one with the msd box mounted on and with all the plug wires mounted on it. If you know someone that has one for sale or know were the best place to get one is please let me know.
Thanks

Edelbrock. I would go with the RPM performer as it's gonna be better for a daily application. More torque in the midrange where you need it. Victor jr is best for high stalled/race applications. More power up top around 7k

I used Trans Dapt plates with stock mounts. One tube on the pass side needed clearance. The lower mounts neede to be moved up around 3/8 on the frame on each side.
