Default Ls1 51 Chevy truck rat rod.

Just want to show off some pics of my 51 Chevy truck project. Custom chassis, air ride, big brakes, Futral motorsports 347, 4l60 w/Yank 3200, Vintage air and a bunch more. Still have to finish the interior but it runs and drives great. What do ya'll think so far?

That's my kind of rat rod! But you're in the same boat I'm in, really too nice to be a 'rat rod', the real rat rod guys I know don't like EFI, and for the Street Rod guys, there's not enough crap to polish all the time.

And x2 on the bed floor, never seen that before, looks awesome.

Yeah, the bed floor put it over the top for me. It's one of my favorite details.
Again, fantastic job.

Do you have a build thread?

It looks like the Vintage Air compressor in the original LS location.
Where did you get the bracket for that?

I like it, i second the too nice for a ratrod though, you need to make parts of it more rusty! Where did the frame or at least the front suspension come from?

Sweet! I'm in the middle of building a 47 5-Window with a 5.3/4L80E.

Love the chassis/engine - hate the paint.

I'd rather have a flat black truck.

Thumbs up Nice

Nice !

My bro would S * * * if he seen these pic's. He has some 47 > 54's but all stock and he dimes em together.

I tried to tell him to stuff a LS series engine in one of em. However, if that happened, I'd be doing all the work !!!!!

pretty sweet... only thing id do is coil pack relocation, and some nice valve covers. thatd clean up the engine bay a bit and look even more trick but subtle. im not really feeling the steel grate bedfloor, but its a cool concept.
