Default LS7 alternator wiring

tons of info on the LS1 alternator...can't find anything on the LS7.

alt has a 4 pin connector...only 3 pins on the alt. (4th slot is blank with no pin)

plug on alt reads S F L

Anyone have any info on how to hook this alt up?

I have heard that only the "L" wire needs to be connected to a lamp or resistor but I have been unable to confirm this.

I actually figured it out today and it's all working great, I'm putting out 14.4 volts.

I will post pics later tonight.

Hello d-fork
I have got the same alternator in my LS6 68 camaro. It seems like the alternator is not charging the battery. I noticed that there was only one wire going from the L to the alternator exciter, brown wire as per painless wiring labeling. But there is no wire connected to S. could you please elaborate more into that or if you a better photo showing how the S and L connected.
