Unhappy alternator wireing problam??

Im putting a 01 6.0 in my s-10 and I need to know how to hot the alternator so the battery will charge. It only has 2 wires on it. I put 12v on the brown wire and it charged at 14v. Came back later and it wasnt charging. So far I think I burned up 2 alternator's. What am I doing wrong?

go to sticky LS1 swap F A Q . Then to top line[ LS swap Frequently asked questions.] then to post 13 click on [alternator hookup without using pcm ]then down to post 6 by SPEARTEC . he don't touch on all alternators but it may give you a better understanding .Good luck!!
