alternator i have burned out 3 alternators in 3 days can any one tell me why????? when i first install the alternator it pumps out 14 volts i go around the block and they quit???????i put a new one and same problem please help

the car runs perfect but dies when i remove the pos. battery cable. the alt has 4 wires gray brown blue from the connector and red to the starter selonoid. the pcm is off a 2003. thanks.

even when the battery cable is connected the alternator doesnt charge i put my meter on it and i get 12 volts thats the power off my batt. i should get around 13-14 volts out of my alt
