Default s10 LS1 Long tubes from SBC s10 headers?

Just had an idea this the other day and wanted to get some more feed back on it....

Say you buy a set of SBC S10 Long tubes, which are around 200 used or 350ish new and bought a set of ls1 flanges and a bit of primary piping for around 100ish (just a rough guess) and modifidy the top say 6-8 inches max of the two inner primaries to line up with the ls1 flange. Making a set of LS1 s10 longtubes for around 3-400 bucks compared to the over a grand the normal s10 LT's cost....

Anyone think this is possible? Any feedback is appreciated....

Do a search on DIY headers, this isnt a new idea

People figured out long ago that the #3, 5, 4, 8 ports pretty much lined up. LS1 flanges and some primary shifting yielded very cheap headers
