I've been looking for someone that converted the dana get rid of the half shafts i read through this thread when you posted the pic of the rear, but didn't remeber where i saw the pic. Was it some sort of kit? does it convert directly to the rx7 hubs? Any info would be cool.
I was wondering the same thing if there was a way to just get half shafts that would replace both the stub and rx7 half shaft. If that was possible might just keep my rx7 and look for a dana 44.

Great build! I love that Ferrari coating in the intake.

How much boost are you running?

Turned the boost up and smoked 2nd/3rd in the 2004r. Decided to step it up a bit, so it's getting an 8.8 and a powerglide.

Here's progress on the solid axle conversion:

Thanks guys.

Yes, it's based on Fox geometry, though the chassis side positioning is slightly different (since the Fox cars get goofy when you lower them, geometry wise), but the links used are fox parts (2003 Mach 1 specifically), but they are just mock up, everything will be rod ends/adjustable when it's complete.

Today I put the gas tank in, had to adjust it's position a bit, but it's in. Next up is finishing some bracing and building a floor, I'll post pics as I go.

Then I just need to get some $$$ and I can buy the Powerglide and get this thing back on the road.

Thanks Mark, I sure hope so.

Finishing up a car for a customer right now, as soon as it's done (hopefully pretty much finished this weekend), I'll get the rear end finished up on mine.

So, time for some updates...

Repainted the car to stain charcoal metallic and got some new wheels:

Changed from BS3 to ProEFI:

That necessitated a brand new harness from scratch:

And added flex fuel capability:

Moved to ID1300 injectors:

Redid the exhaust:

And mostly reassembled:

I'm also utilizing ABS sensors for wheel speed to allow full closed loop traction control in the car, as well as 4 port boost controller to allow me to run a 4 lbs gate spring but still run 20+ psi of boost.

Thanks. The fab work is mine, but the TIG work is done by a friend who is damn good with the torch. I'm so-so on a MIG, but I don't have a TIG, unfortunately.
