Default oil coiler

On the ls motor do you have to run a oil coiler or can you plug the spot of. Just wondering if anybody new were there was maybe a plate for it or can you tap the holes and put bolts in them to seal them of. Thanks for all the needed info.

You don't have to run one, but its cheap insurance. I forget the GM part number, but there is a blockoff plate for it.

Here's the p/n of the GM block off plate 12577903 around $5 bucks from any GM dealer.

Here's the Part number for the Truck oil cooler adapter block and lines 15203890.
