Default cam recomendations

since my 5.3 has tocome out because of no oil pressure, i need advice on a cam. i am running 852 heads (stock i suppose). 2004r tranny w/3.42 gears in a 69 camaro

all depends on what you are planning for it and how you are going to drive it. what is your requirements ?? Low, Mid or upper end HP / TQ ?

With just a Cam only swap, Most would say a 224 Cam, a Z06 or one of the GM Hot Cam's would work out. Spring are another area you need to look at, with stock head, suggest you swap in some Yellow Z06 or Comp 918's. Without more work on the head and pistion, you might be limited to lift in the under .575 range to be safe.

But, like I said, you need to list your requirements and stuff...

Suggest you ask this questiion in the Gen III or IV Internal Engine section.. those forum usually talk alot about cams... there is even a Sticky on Cam to use as a guide.
