LS1 in my 97 Jeep TJ
Figured since i've asked so many questions on this forum to help me do my motor swap, that I would share the actual build up.
Couple "Before" Pictures, at this point its pretty much stock except for the 3" body lift and 31" tires
Stock 4 banger still in there:

Freshly Rebuilt Motor, got a 5 axis job on the stock heads for a little bit better flow. Was considering doing aftermarket heads, Cam,Lifters forged internals, ported TB and LS6 intake, but being budget constrained, I just wanted to see how she would perform slightly better than stock for a little while, Slightly better meaning, Ported Heads, Cold air, Intake, No A/C, and an Xpipe exhaust setup

Installing the Torque Converter, Flex Plate and motor mounts and attaching the trans: I would later have to take it all apart again, because I forgot to order and install the torque converter spacer that attaches to the crank pilot:
This is how I decided to attach the trans, because I do not own a transmission Jack "not recommended lol:
There's that spacer I needed!!...

So I pretty much started this project last March, its come a long way.
Tons of research and headaches especially being a newbie, and this being my first project of this magnatude. In the end though I see it all being worth the effort.
Things left on the to-do list:
-Slip Yoke eliminator kit on the transfer case
-Custom front and rear drive shafts
-Plumb the new fuel system
-Make the cold-air intake fit
-install PCV system
-finish connecting the rest of the wiring harness
-bleed the brakes
-Install the Exhaust System
-And then finally fire up the motor for the first time:
More info and updates to come, I should be driving it (Daily Driver) by Mid January 2010.
Feel free to ask questions! I left tons of details out, just wanted to post up a quick summary of my project.

Cool rigs man, I was gonna do a 4 link suspension but for 3-4 thousand dollars, I changed my mind real quick lol. This is gonna be my daily driver so I didnt want to get to crazy "yet" who knows what else i'll decide to do. For now I'll be happy with the power, and my 4" short arm lift, it'll be able to do everything and more for my needs.
