Drove it last night, got on it some and just felt very lazy. Idles and drives good just wot sucks *****. The tune up is way off thoe. I got the tr8's with a small gap in it from went it ran at mir in fall off 2011 and they are black as hell, the timing is set to 13*. Runs around 13.2 Afr and makes 5 psi boost on the wg spring.
Ill give it some more fuel, some fresh tr7s and some timing and see how it acts.

New tune up on 5psi helped but the bigger turbine and cam and intake just like more rpm. The small test hits i was doing the other day i never really let the rpms get up. But i let it go threw the power band and it felt good.
i put the 10psi spring in and oh yeah now its fun. Fun feels like the old 80mm did on 17psi. But power band is deffintaly higer up.

I have a few pics ill try and find them.
i took it to the track friday worked on trying to get afr right but i cant seam to figure out how to log my wideband (help)
the heavy spring i put in the wastegate is too strong. And wont open. So that was making things harder.
I went back saturday and hurt the trans so i pulled it out tonight and dropping it off tomorrow, it dosent have 1st and 2nd gear, stays in 3rd. But still has reverse and neutral.

Damn i just read through all 25 pages. Was hoping to see you had already made that 8 second pass but maybe i made it just in time to see you get it. Love the build. I have a 93 black fox with the same welds also but its staying a 4.6 modular ford.
I read through this build because i wanted to get some insight on my current build which is a 85 ford LTD (4 door mustang basically since everything is enterchangable) that i want to do a ls platform, turbo and auto. Im only looking for a 9.50 in that car and still be completely street able.
Congrats on making it this far. Sorry bout the trans and im happy to see you didn't sell the car when you was going through that rough patch. Your hard work is about to pay off. Good luck and keep this thread updated!

Rather just fix the 400 then buy a glide.
thanks for all the kind words guys. Means alot to me knowing something ive built gets the respect from people all over the country.
She just got a fresh buff job today by my two friends. The paint has never looked better.
I hope to hear what happened with the trans tomorrow.
And a video of it from friday. 1st time to track in over a year. Trying to get the tune up right. You can hear it load up on the trans brake. And also this was the 1st time using the pulse leash thats built in to my boostleash II boost controler. Its the same basic thing as a bump box. Still got some adjustments to make with it.

Well the 3rd gear clutches were toast. Said it took a good bit of effort to get them out. He said something about the centrifugal force was causing third to drag. I think he said it was the thing the sprag is in? I dont know much about the inner workings of a trans. But he said going to some aluminum drum from coan will solve the problem. Some type of spring i it is stronger too. Ill have hime make me a list of what he puts in it this time. The drum is about 700 itself plus some new clutches and a sprag and some new bushings. Yay another $1400 : (
