Default PCM stored mileage?

I know some ECU/PCM's from different manufactures store mileage that can be read w/ the OEM scanner.

Does GM do this, and does any aftermarket scanner (efilive) read this value?

Gm computers don't, at least you can't read them with a TechII, they store mileage since DTC errors/ cleared, but don't keep total vehicle mileage.

Thanks... was thinking about not installing a dedicated speedo (even though I already have one) to keep dash clutter to minimum. But want the odometer for service intervals and keeping track of how much usage I have.
