5.7 vortec and 4.8/5.3/6.0 harness?
I got a dbc harness from a 4.8 2002 silverado for my lq4 swap into my 98 chevy. Unfortunately they had the truck on the ground on the rails so I had to cut the wires for the trans, except for round plug. Now they got some vortec surburbans and stuff there I can get too, are the harnesses for the 5.7 vortecs the same as the 2002 silverado? Thanks.

Should be just the VSS and maybe the O2 wires you cut right.

5.7 vortec is the CPI GEN I SBC. 00-01 vans used the LS1 PCM and a special harness for it, but they are vastly different from a LSx harness. Some of the connectors can be reused from your 98 harness, but the majority will not
If you dont have specific knowlegde on what changes and what connectors to add, I would not attempt using it
Trans connector is the same for all 95+ 4L60E's. 94 and older were missing one wire. 4L80E used the same body connector but the pinout and wire locations changed

Kind of off topic a bit but i got a 2001 silverado harness and it has 13 pins on the trans harness. Now I thought it had a 4l80e in that truck but if it has 13 pins it's a 4l60e right?
