This is very good info. I have th s10 spindles complete I'm wondering instead of installing the stock C5 calipers why not just up grade to a 4 or 6 pot caliper kit for a C5 corvette!

I did have to do some grinding on the spindles for the adapter bracket bolts to seat right, along with the spindle casting flash! more pics to show what was needed for my setup.
casting flash ground off before getting sent off for powdercoating.
and then with the bracket bolted on securely
bolt clearance grinding pic
Sorry guys for so many pics but i figured it would help some...

Difference ZQ8 vs Blazer Spindles
To use the mechanical drawing shown in post #1 you need the spindle assys from S10 Blazers (I think 98 and later, 2-door, 2wd) that came equipped w/ unitized three bolt bearing packs and larger dual piston PBR calipers and 11” rotors.
See attached photo for what the correct steering knuckle/spindle looks like....

nice info, saved for later, just pulled my wheels off the front to tear down the front suspension so i can do some frame work and noticed how small the front brake set up is compared to my rear discs (on my El Co), so gotta do this, that stock stuff isnt going back on...
one question, does the s10 spindle raise the front up? cause dont want to do that, if anything i would like drop spindles...

pretty pricey and you still have to pick up the hubs which are pretty expensive as well. BTW i just finished rereading your rear LS1 brake upgrade thread on Gbody forum looking good!! I finally scored some backing plates, parking brake assemblies and cables out of a 98 Firebird yesterday and will be starting installing them on 8.5 rear. Gonna clean them up and paint them, did you ever figure out the park brake? BTW i have pulled a few sets and only found them in 98+ 2wd Blazers no S-10's have them even the Xtreme doesn't have them.. They are hard to find here in Denver cuz everybody usually has a 4WD for the snow..

I did the same front brake setup with C5 calipers & rotors. Probably January I am goiing to switch to front & rear C6 brakes.
I also switched my brake booster & master cylinder to a bigger unit from a B body Caprice. If you pull it from one in the bone yard, get the one with "BW" on the master cylinder, it has the same fittings as the Monte. Just remove & replace.

Std 325mm x 32mm thk (Same as C5)
Z51 340mm x 32mm
Z06 355mm x 32mm
You should be able to use the mechanical dwg in post #1 ( based on C5 325mm x 32mm rotors) as a baseline and just increase the 3mm dim between mounting holes and abutment bracket holes by 1/2 the increase in rotor dia. For instance, Z51 (340-325)/2 = 7.5mm. The new dim would be 3mm + 7.5mm = 10.5mm
Anything larger than 325mm rotor will probably drive you to 18" wheels min.

No it doesn't raise the front up at all. if you want to go with a dropped spindle here are some:
