Default headers for 72 Nova

I just wanted to get some ideas for headers. What have people used and where did the get them? I have done some searching, but want some more input. I am looking for buget friendly. So tell me what you've used in your Nova or 1st gen Camaro/Firebird.
Thanks

What motor mount plates did you use? Do you have the power steering box?

I used the Carshop 1" setback plates. It puts the trans in the stock location so you can use the factory trans crossmember and driveshaft if you want. My car had PS but I did change over to a manual gearbox. The headers literally drop right in. Even the drivers side fits through the top around the gearbox.

My LS1 is far easier to work on than my SBC was. I can swap plugs in 15 minutes. Every bolt is easy to get at.....cant even imagine a BBC in it.

Did you order the coated, or non-coated, and how have they held up? Thanks again, nice to have someone reply to these header threads. Kind of expensive items to hope they fit

You can save a few bucks buy calling Summit or Jegs and giving them this site.

They have the headers for 509.99 and Jegs or Summit will beat that price. That what I did.

Just an FYI, it looks like retolsx has a stainless set of headers coming out in the next few months, and they might be around $600. Not too bad. I think I am going to wait and see the actual price and try these out.

Depending on how much power you're trying to make and how low you want to go, Speedway Motors has nice looking set of shorty headers they sell coated or uncoated. I'm planning on getting them because I'm more worried about ground clearance than dyno numbers.
