Default motor mount assist

Ok, I'm building my own motor mounts for an LS1 swap into an 83 Supra.
I just need a source/location for the tube and bushing portion of the mount, I've looked on E-bay and they only have 90$ universal set ups-this is not what I'm lookin for.
I just need the tube that has a bushing in it that hold the long mounting bolt.
I hope my description is clear.
Thanks in advance.

Brian, check out this link, then call D.W. and tell him what you're trying to accomplish, he has the parts and he will help you!! I used his parts for the engine mounts for the LS1 in my '32 Ford chassis.

Thanks for the link Mike, unfortunately the only bushings that site shows are the type that go over a steel insert-that would be fine if there was a steel outer piece to go along with it.

I need a bushing that goes into a steel piece of short fairly thick wall tubing, so I can run a mounting bolt through the bushing after I've welded the exterior steel tubing to a motor mount...

Thanks for the input, that site has a lot of stuff.

I was trying to come up with the same thing. I was thinking if I could find a set up like an aftermarket lower control arm bushing, that would be ideal.
No luck tho, I'll keep an eye on this thread, good luck!

energysuspension.com has some sway bar bushings that are in the ballpark-but not quite what I'm looking for...the mounting would be a pita, but two of those would prob hold a single engine side up w/o a problem.
Click on the link below for an example, I'm looking for the bushings with an inner and outer steel sleeve-the rest I can fab up.
Thanks all.

Actually, these might work!

Brian, if you are trying to come up with the pieces to build your own engine mounts using the bushings in the above post, the link I gave you has those parts. You have to look thru their catalog for the individual pieces, they're not in a 'kit' for the LS engines.

Using the link, look at engine mount kit #WS2149 (this is for a SBC or BBC, not an LSx, but should be similar to what you're trying to do).

To make your mounts, find the following parts,
#10092- Outer tube for urethane bushing.....you'll need 2 @ $3.18 each
#214941-Lower tube.............................................. .2 @ $11.77 each
#214951-Upper tube.............................................. .2 @ $8.48 each
#1203- Urethane bushing ½......................................4 @ $2.47 each
#18908-Tube-inner, for urethane busings....................2 @ $4.44 each

You will also need the plates that bolt to the engine, these are easy to make from flat steel plate or you can get those from WS too.

Good luck with your project.

Mike
