why do i do this to myself ? i guess i am just into self torture???? looks like my modification list just got bigger going to attempt to stuff a 285/35/20 tire in the front of the belair looking for more grip which spiraled out of control with other mods. too. like moving the sway bar mounts, and trying to correct the terrible Ackramen and adjust my bump steer problems and make new shock mounts. well i hope this works!

ell the street machine nationals already flew by and it was a very successful thrashing session! finished up everything at 3;30 am slept for a couple of hrs. then headed to the Qa1 open house to check out there whole facility wow.! what an impressive place! love seeing how things are made, inspected and tested and my philosophy is if you love to see manufacturing in this country you must buy things that are made in this country! Turns out everyone at Qa1 loved the Belair and everyone signed the car and we ended up taking the ride of the year award from Qa1 how cool is that already all the effort seemed worth while and still have not even had a chance to test the car out yet! still really frustrated with Tire pros for messing up my wheel order and Not getting my new front wheels here when promised because of forgetting to order the wheels!:warning: had to argue to get them to ship them 2 day and they showed up on Friday afternoon day of the show. got them mounted and balanced for running autocross on Saturday the coarse was super tight for a huge car and the turbo's did Not help a bit. still pulled a 634whp. on the dyno which put me in second place for the real street eliminator competition. and I have no idea how the whole thing played out but still had a blast in any case and the car felt awesome! more not so good news coming up soon just trying to get thing caught up again.

fun was short lived and are trip to go on the power cruise to go road racing ,drag racing, and drifting was cut short by transmission failure again this one was from a $8 piece of hose right off the cooler cracked and dripped enough fluid out while pulling the camper to break the sprag and toast the planetary gears.

well we got the transmission back in and got about 1000 miles on it before our drag weekend with friends from ONE GUYS GARAGE . the whole event is structured like hot rod drag week you have to drive your car the whole trip in my case it was 850 miles round trip raced at 3 different tracks Great lakes dragways in Union grove Wisc.,then Byron Il.dragway, and last Tri states dragway in Earlville Iowa, then road trip home. we made it the whole trip with only a couple hiccups. on e of the idler pulley's bearings locked up and welded to the bolt however we were able to reroute the belt eliminate one idler and hay bale it back together to make a couple of last passes to secure the win for the 11.5 no rollcage class.! that was just a bonus the best part of the trip is the time with my wife and having fun with great friends and meeting new ones! used drag radials this time the 20's did not work so good last year! here are some picts. from the event.

Just saw your car on Detroit Muscle again and figured I would drop in and see the progress. I was not disappointed. Car looks awesome man. Glad to see you don't let a little hiccup here and there ruin your good times.
