Default 62 Studebaker Lark

I just inherited my grandfathers 62 lark and I want to swap and LSX into it with a 4L60E. Has anyone done this and could point me in the right directions to find the parts to make it happen?

Thanks

most folks on here would have to google studebaker to know they made cars

Sounds like fun! You could call it a Studebaker aluminum hawk or something.

I have a Studebaker swap, though it is somewhat different than yours because mine has a Nova subframe. The swap will be similar to most 50s or 60s era cars. Here is a search link for Studebaker that I just did on this forum.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/search.php?searchid=11567310

Also if you are new to Studebakers, I suggest you join the Studebaker Drivers Club. There are a surprising number of resources available for these cars considering they have not been made for 44 years. On the site I am linking to you below there is an active forum and there are members there that have done swaps of all varieties into Studebakers. On neat thing is their frame and basic suspension design did not change from 1951 until 1966 when they quit making them. So if you find information on an earlier model it may well work with yours. One thing to know on the larks, in the last 2 years of production they had Chevy 283s in them, so those mounts are available and will bolt into your 62 and there are many adapters in the market for LSx-->SBC. I'll be happy to help if you have specific questions after reading through the stickys.
