Default Operating temp?

Guys, I'm running dakota digital gauges and I cant decipher if the engine is getting too hot. Whats the normal operating temp for an LS1. My gauge has shown the temp as high as 230* in 90* weather. Throttle body is bypassed and I'm running a 180* t-stat.

Normal for mine is 205 with a stock stat. What are your fans set at? Stock setting is around 225 so 230 would be about right. I wouldn't want to run it any hotter than that.

Im gonna have to try and scan the pcm to see where the fans are set to, I just wanna be sure im not hurting it at this temp. But i also just noticed that my lower water pump/radiator hose has a slight crimp in it. Gonna find something more fitting and see if it makes a difference.
