Hey New to the site and LS1's. I'm in Aus doing a Hilux (toyota pickup) Ls1 conversion using a 5.7lt ls1, The question i have is will A Camoaro style Alternator bolt onto a truck style mount? I brought a new alternator (Has arrived) and second hand truck mount and pump and am still waiting the arrival of the mount, was just looking at other pics of others cars and cant seem to get a clear answer.
Here is a pick of my 4wd to show that i'm genuine!!!

I'm not sure about the alternator. Your pictures may be too big for an upload. There is a size limit.

The Camaro and truck alternator's use the same bolt spacing/ location and interchange fine.

YellowZ you may have just answered my question, but I'll ask it a different way. Are any of the LS1 alternators different size? Is there one that is smaller than other?

If you're looking for a smaller diameter alternator, the 98 and newer S10 alternators fit on the truck brackets and give you close to an inch more clearance on the top
