Default 90 Formula GETS TEASED (LS1/700r4)

Well, its about to happen guys i got a 90 formula i am swapping a lsx into. I am keeping the auto just cause it is the cheapest right now. so bare with me. Here are some pics of the shop and car i am swappin into the 90. (90 is a bare shell) sollid though. I droped the ls1 of at the shopped to get cleaned and have the heads cleaned and milled. using the 806 castings for now. got a cam from a sstrailblazer coming in. ported throttle body and longtubes are the only upgrades for now. so enjoy the pics and plz comment and help me with some things thanks https://ls1tech.com/forums/newthread...newthread&f=28guys

From a been-there-done-that perspective, Id suggest peeling the plastic sheeting off the windshield and laying newspaper or something porous for the paint to stick to. The first coat will flake off when you bring the spray gun near it on the second pass sending junk all over your wet paint

Funny how you only have tubular A-arms on a stock K and my swap is the opposite. Tubular K with stock A-arms

ill trade ya my stock one for the tubalar? lol yea well if i got with ac ill end up gettin one. but for now the stock one will do. Yea i had put the plastic on the cause thats all i had. and i only put it up s i could paint the engine bay

i dropped my block off at the machin shop to get cleaned, new crank cam and motor mounts will be in here within the next week so stay tuned ill be gettin the block and heads back on wendsday

What cam you going with?

Tell the shop you want the old mount. They're easy to sell because people want a spare set of old ones to put the poly inserts into before installing them

Tip for getting the mounts to line up between the block and K-member: leave all 4 mounts finger tight until all the bolts and both long through bolts are installed. Then torque

They're a bear to get lined up if anything is torqued down

the cam i am going with for now is a cam from a ss trailblazer. so until i can get money that will have to do. I am tryin to build a pretty near stock motor. gettin running working the kinks outta it then beefing it up

So i got the 90 over to the shop today. She is lookin good! lol well ill get the good camera from my fiance and go from there.Better pics on the way gents tomorow ls1 will be back. and cam

Default one of those days

Well not to much updates just starting to swap the 89 parts to the 90 and got the motor back from the machin shop today. I have a question for the gents here real quick, could i use a t56 from a lt1 but put the ls1 bellhousin on it? are they the same thing..... or not explain this plz it would clarify some things but here are some pics of the progress and enjoy!!

The input shaft and the front cover on the T56 is differant so it wont work unless you buy those parts

yea i am gonna go with my 700r4 for now. till i find a good deal on a t56. Dont really wanna rush anything in the build so,..... kinda patient

well, i found a t56 for 1500 with with willwood slave, and two bellhousings and my wife is tryin to talk me outta it so
