I notched the crossmember a little low and had to clearance the control arm a little. I tried to box it a little. DSE control arms will eventually replace the stockers.

Not happy with the results, but I will redo before the frame gets power coated
I made the notch deeper back than it needed just incase the VVT gets ditched someday and go strictly Vette FEAD.

OK, I'll admit to being slightly jealous... Looks like it's coming along nicely!

Thanks Tony. I just got home from starting to hook everything up engine wise. I really am going to try to test fire it this fall. Yes, I realize I've been saying THAT the past 3 years. LOL I've actually got some work done on it this year. YAY.

FWIW No updates / No pics yet. (wife has the camera). I couldn't get it to start. It will fire with gumout. Only thing I had. No fuel to the rail. I originally thought the Aeromotive Stealth 340 pump was defective (heard of some bad units) but I want to try to replace the Summit Racing PTFE lined SS hose with regular nylon. I am hoping I collapsed the PTFE lining when trying to seat the the olive.

Have you tried to disconnect the lines and push air through each to check for a restriction? Maybe a bad FPR?

I wasn't getting fuel to the rail. Ricks' tanks had the red and black wires crossed from the pump to bulkhead. I swapped the wires on the top and the pump works. I still have a no start problem though, All drivers fire and only a few pass.

I still need to check to see if the injectors are spraying and spark on those cylinders. I MIGHT be the one to blame when I repined the coil pack /MAP sensor when I was being too cheap to buy split loom.

Until next weekend…………..

It lives. I need to get a few exhaust adapters and get some more gas. Hopefully I will remember the camcorder.

2nd startup video. Hopefully I will get a chance to work on it next weekend and I can show the Allen Groove low mount for others with 2nd gen F swappers. Lowmount is MUCH better looking IMHO

I thought it was 2 plugged up injectors, but those are fine now. I need to get cylinder #1 intake rocker torqued and retry it. The true culprit is unknown as of yet. Crossing my fingers !

TheBandit,

It turned out to be bad coil on #8 and #1 started working once I swapped it with #3 coil. I guess the coil wasn't fully plugged in.

I recently made a CAI for my bro's car. I used the Dynasty 200 DX. I kept forgetting to brig the camera to his shop while trying my hand at welding aluminum. So there is no "during fabrication" pics.

This pic is of the practice tube. I will eventually make a new tube and take pics during each step.

Hi Clint,
Back burner. I want to get a house before dumping anymore $ into it. I need my own garage. Tired of renting one.

Glad to see your driving your beast now. Will you have to dial in the CE traction bar? Your donut/breakin video shows how easily you can break them loose .

Any progress in the last 4 years? Some of us might have to converge on your place and finish this if it isn't running yet. Hope all is well!
