I've been slacking and not updating the forums that much. I have this thread going on a different corvette site so let me catch everyone up to where i'm at!

-------------------------------

Harness is done!

A few posts back I showed where the bolt that holds part of the brace that goes from the passenger side windshield to the frame extension was in the way when the header was installed. I removed this bolt and tack welded the bottom of the brace in place. There are still two more bolts on the top-side holding it on so this should be more than OK. Now my header clears!

Steam lines installed

New gaskets and foam installed

Time for some videos!

The first one is the result of us flooding the engine with fuel while trying to start it numerous times. Once the engine finally sparked it must have ignited that fuel and shot it out the exhaust ports. Also, there was no passenger side header installed at this time. No real damage was done, some burnt paint on the coil pack and black smoke on the plugs but that's really it.

And here she is finally running with open headers. I am very surprised at how smooth it ran, considering there's still a bunch of vacuum leaks, no O2 sensors hooked up and countless other things that still needs to be done. It was so loud it distorted the microphone a bit unfortunately.

MORE VIDEOS!!!

Hooked up a bunch of temporary vacuum lines (silicone lines coming tomorrow) and I have the oil pressure gauge working. Reading about 60 PSI during idle. She runs MUCH smoother now.

Enjoy the videos!

Ran into an issue. The bolt that holds the TV cable bracket to the trans snapped and it's not coming out. Had to drop the transmission in order to drill this bolt out. What a PITA! Anyway, the trans is back and I will post pictures as soon as I get my hard drive working on my computer....

Video of the first ride below!!!

Seems like it cranks over quite a bit until it finally starts. Any ideas why it's not firing up on the first crank???

Looks good otherwise. Congrats!

Might be fuel pressure, and he may not have a check valve on his feed line.

Not sure why it's not catching right away. The cam position sensor is hooked up and the fuel pressure is steady at 57psi at the rails. Hopefully next weekend I will have more time to look into the issue. I will keep everyone updated.

Thanks for the comments!

I had a 96 6 speed C4 and decided that puting a LS1 in it was pointless when I was beating C5's and LS1 fbodys continually and put down higher numbers stock for stock. But I eventally sold the C4 for a C5, then sold the C5 for my WS6, and soon I will sell the fbody for a C4 again. Hopefully ZR1 or LT4 car.

Got everything from these guys... http://www.tvmadeez.com/

Great people to work with and all their parts come with detailed instructions and phone support if needed. I'll try to post up some pictures of the TV cable adjustment once I recover all my images from my crashed hard drive

BTW, She looks enthused about your project.
What rims are these? How much do they weigh? They would look perfectly at home on my 85.
