Good cam for drag racing ls1

How much do you have to spend? You can't just change the cam. You are looking at valve springs, pushrods, timing chain (not necessary, but a damn good idea) maybe the oil pump..So it isn't going to be cheap. Also, what other mods do you currently have? M6 or A4?

it is a stock ls1 as far as i know and is coing to have a carb not injected if that helps, dont have a lot of money because the whole car is being done and i dont know anything about ls1 motors but got a good deal on the motor

Save the $ and rebuild your stock rockers with the Comp Cams trunion rebuild kit. They work just fine. Pick up a used cam in the for sale section. You will need upgraded pushrods and double valvesprings. The stock ls1 intake with ported tb does a good job on a budget. Mill the heads for more compression. Check P to V clearance if you do. Racing isn't cheap!
