Thanks guys. I Went with dyna tech headers, not to impressed so far but I think they will work. Havent fired it up yet hopefully she will run in a few weeks. I'm curious to see how the MS3 cam works out, I haven't found anyone else running one in a 5.3 yet.

It is considered a old grind but still gets the job done.

I thought the 5.3 could only handle 228 duration at most. what is the MS3 and how tough will it be to tune.

The Alternator bracket I made out of 1/4" steel plate.

I'm not sure what the 5.3 can handle but I'm willing to find out. Here are the specs on the MS3 cam
intake exhaust
Duration @ .050" 237 242
advertised duration 286 291
lobe lift 0.355 0.3585
gross valve lift 0.603 0.609

lobe separation 112°
advanced ground in 1°

Thanks tonytone4143 I love how well everything fits in the engine bay.

Nice set up, the 5.3L motor just looks so much cleaner than the previous set up.

Yeah it definitely does, you should have seen the engine bay two years ago when I got the car it was a total cluster.

not much to update other than I started on the brakes and setting up the line lock. Been dealing with AJE on there juck mounts. Noticed the engine is sitting crooked in the engine bay so it's not allowing the drivers side header to bolt completely up. trying to decide on what converter to go with. I have been think 3500 stall.

Looks like a fun swap

Make sure that you have the correct drivers side header for the swap
A few members had issues with installing the drivers header because they were originally designed for the 94-04 cars.

Also make sure your mounts are with the point forward and up, this is the correct placement for the AJE setup
