If look here in the hybrids/conversion section there's a guy with a white T-Type Regal who just completed a 6.0 with a front mounted turbo. The post should be within the first couple pages.

I know the ls1 will fit with no problem, I have a ptk turbo kit and the turbo sits in front of where the alternator used to be. On my friends el camino lsx swap, the alternator just clears the steering box and crossmember?

So then you're going to need the adjustable motor mount plates that will allow you to mount the engine forward or backwards and also the ls2 alternator relocation bracket, all of these parts are available on Ebay.
