LSX swap in a ford ranger? Got a buddy wanting to do a swap in his 99 ford ranger......ive seen a pre runner ford ranger on youtube with a LS motor...but this will be a daily driver.....anyone....?

I have a clean 94 with a dead 2.3 I was thinking of swapping a 5.3 into on the cheap. Looks like ou need to notch the front cross member 2" (F body pan) or use a H3 alfa pan with out a notch. looks like truck accesories will work. Just off measurments right now.
