LY6/4L80e from rough van into rough 69 camaro

I agree. The compressor and alternator are a little close to the headers.
A friend and me are tuning ourselves. No full throttle runs yet, but it is running well and comes on boost nicely at part throttle.
Greddy Profec Controller and wideband AFR. Maybe I should have got the gauges in blue, lol.
Mostly buttoned up.

Not sure. I really don't feel like building a motor right now. I'm going to drive it like this and then I might turn it up to 9 pounds. It should last a long time like this.
I designed the turbo system to upgradable. With a larger compressor wheel, a forged motor, and another fuel system upgrade, 1000whp is doable.
Really it is so much fun right now, I need to leave it like it is and finish the new shell this winter. Problem is turning up the boost is as easy as turning the **** on the boost controller. The Greddy Profec works well with the 50mm wastegate.

I am doing most of the welding on the new shell now. But meanwhile, the green car is being fitted with something new thanks to my friend Matt Smith who runs Exotic Exhaust. Does anyone recognize the white car parked next to mine? He has been tasked with fitting 2 sets of headers and exhaust systems to it.
Love the looks of your turbo setup. You've really gone full-tilt with this car. Awesome!

Thanks. Yes those are twin LS7s. It uses a corvette 4L60, diff and surprisingly doesn't use up too much interior room. That car will probably end up in some magazines soon, when it is complete, unlike mne, lol.

My trash will be getting rods, pistons, studs and hopefully a new body soon.

Thanks! While it is true that I did the full conversion and subframe rebuild outdoors, in the winter, I have since moved and now am lucky enough to have a garage. I am going into high gear with the new body shell, and the engine rebuild. I have read numerous articles on what stock engines can take with boost. Unfortunately, on that second run, a good friend of mine posted for me, my opponent hit the wall, and i hurt the motor. There is no knocking, just some blow by. My motor came out of an almost brand new van, but had water in it, from the intake. So who knows if there was rust in the rings, which may have weakened them.
I data logged these last two runs with HP Tuners. 17 dgrees timing, no knock, 7 psi, and iats peaked at 150 degrees. 112-114mph 1/8 mile. Time to forge the motor and turn up the boost I posted a dyno graph, but do the math with 3800lb race weight and I think the junk yard motor with water in it did okay. I could probably but a new piston in it with a new ring and keep going, but I really want to turn it up. (A little)
