What kind of car are you working with..?

The Brake Switch is a 12v on one side, and the other one goes to the PCM.
SES Light is just the PCM to the Gauges.
P/N Switch goes to the Starter Relay.

The park neutral safety switch should be on your steering column already if your car was a column shift automatic, if it has a floor shift it's under the console. You shouldn't have to change the wiring at all if you use the original wiring, the purple wire that goes to the starter.

The brake light switch will have to be changed to a cruise control switch, pretty much any GM car from the 70's or 80's will have the correct switch. It will have a place for two connectors to hook to it, where as your original will only have one.

The SES light just needs to be a key on powered light, with the PCM supplying ground for it.

Sounds easy enough, my wiring book just said if the converter doesnt unlock then a "dangerous situation may occur". That had me worried.

yeah basically turns into a manual if your clutch linkage broke and you couldnt disengage the clutch

Lol interesting. So i picked up the brake switch, i dont have a picture but it looks like my original only it has any extra set of connections so a total of four pins.

one set is open when peddle is up, brake lights. one set is closed when peddle is up, torque converter.

What type of PCM are you running, might be different on some......below is 99-02 F-body....

PNP switch - Normally open ground wire to PCM. Upon gear selection switch closes to signal PCM to raise idle, adjust running parameters etc......pick a place convenient to linkage, shifter setup.

TCC - torque coverter lockup. As mentioned, use a brake light switch from a car with cruise control. This contact will be +12v signal, closed until brake is depressed, breaking circuit, and remove tranny from lockup. I used 85 Monte Carlo with cruise....

SES light - connected to any keyed ignition +12V. PCM sends ground signal to light upon setting failure code.

Don't have a picture, can't see it for the rats nest of wiring..LOL. It looks like the same switch you have on your Nova now, except it has an extra set of contacts. The threaded portion will fit right in your existing bracket.

With the switch installed and pressing up against the pedal arm, one set will be closed (TCC), one set will be open (Brake lights). Upon pressing the brake, these will swap positions, breaking the circuit to the converter, and turning on brake lights. Use a fused 12 volt source for the TCC seperate from the brake lights......
