Default lq4 cam retainer o-ring

I am trying to find the part number for the o-ring that goes between the cam retaining plate and the block the local auto parts store cant find it and the gm
dealer needs a vin # which I dont have

Look on the rear/dr side of the block, above the oil filter.. Should have the vin there.
U know what yr the engine is?? IF so, there's no reason the dlr can't look it up...

The engine is out of a 02 chevy 2500 I will check and see if the vin is on the block I was hoping this was a common seal but I cant find anyone who has heard of it

I'm pretty sure the retainer has the seal built in.

ya its been a while since I took it apart I am just trying to get a the parts to do a cam swap so will I need a new retainer or just reuse the old one
