Default LQ4 truck pan in a 64 nova

I have a 02 LQ4 engine out of a chevy pickup measuring from the pan rail to the bottom of the sump is 8 1/4" looks just like a sbc oil pan ive been told I will
have ground clearance issues just wanted to know if anyone has put a pan like this in a 60's nova and how it worked out

No way it will work if using stock steering,GTO pan fits nice with stock steering.If you have a front steer rack and pinion it will fit and might work if you were going for the gasser look.It will hang down really low.

I have a heidits front end so the rear sump wont be a problem. Are the pan rails lower on LS blocks compared to a sbc

Yes

I would go with an F-body pan

The truck pan will probably be within a couple inches of the ground on that swap
