Default Running a carbed GenIV??

Well, this is it, Ive been trying to make mind on something for the oldtimer in the sig. Imt thinking of doing the LQ9/L92 heads combo or getting a used L92 and just put a cam and carb and run it. Im keeping the SM465. I know the flywheel will sit .4 shorter so a spacer will be needed, I know advanced adapters and novak provide them but I need to know about the 58x reluctor tooth and if it would affect the swap since the parts for the GenIII are all around the place. Any advice would be appreciated.

MSD/ Edlebrock make to the carb igintion boxes for either 24t or 58t reluctors, so it doesnt matter what the engine has as long as you get the right box to run it.

what is an SM465? If its a manual trans you DO NOT want to use the spacer for the flywheel.

So a different reluctor tooth doesn't mean a different flywheel or clutch but only a controller. yes it is a Manual transmissions which is the stock one. I could maybe buy a thick clutch instead of a spacer.

just need an adjustable pivot ball to adjust so the linkage works right. you can get a + .400 flywheel but you dont need it, a stock LS1 flywheel is fine.
the fingers on the clutch pp will be .400" further away from the release bearing than normal, unless you move the pivot ball .4" closer to the engine, or use a .400" thicker release bearing.
PS you will also need a LS7 corvette pilot bearing. it sits in the outer register of the crank
