Sounds like a sweet ride. Should haul some serious ***.

On another note, I finished installing my single walbro in the the F body gas tank. Nothing too crazy here, just a little dremel work and some help from the search function. I hope to get some wire, and have all the gauges at least pigtailed by the weekend.

Alright, Update time!

Had a pretty good weekend. Here's a pic of my fuel rail mods, with fittings to meet my needs. Don't mind the valve covers, they're off for paint right now. Fuel line is still waiting to be fit for a couple reasons

I then had a couple buddies over, and within about 20 minutes, we had the engine and tranny back out, and the engine on a stand. I was torquing the cam gear and the rest of the valvetrain, along with some other stuff.

While it was apart, I took the liberty of taking the oil pump off for some cleaning, and to shim it. Here is the exploded view

THIS LITTLE BASTARD. It was one of the manifold bolts that was snapped off when I got the engine. I drilled it out, (broke a drill bit doing it) then, luckily had another bit the same size, and went ahead and heated the head, and finally got it broken loose.

Here's a shot of the final install of the gauges. Turned out nice if I do say so myself.

and the backside....

Here's the valvecovers as of now

Front cover cleaned and ready for paint

Aaaaaand I trimmed the tunnel a touch to clear the shifter

Thats all for today! Hopefully gonna be making a couple key purchases this week, and start wrapping this thing up!

Looks like you made a lot of progress. The dash looks great makes me miss my 75 280z. I see you had the same problem with the exhaust manifold bolts. I had two that were broke off. One was protruding the other was recessed. I ended up laying a nut over them and using the mig I welded the nut to the broken bolt and used a wrench to unscrew the broken bolt. Great looking project cant wait to see it fire up.

Well I finally said screw it. I ordered the OVERPRICED JTR (sanderson)conversion headers as I couldn't find anything else that would fit how I wanted. Its retarded. $500 for shorties? I can buy Stainless longtubes for an F-body for that.

Here's about how the transaction went.

One of these little ***** will be my next LS swap project, just a 6.0 probably with a nice set of heads and cam with a carb as usual. My 89 RS at 3450 with me in it has gone 7.1 at 97 in the 1/8th with stock heads, i can only imagine what this little car would do with my same engine and good heads.

DAMN FINE JOB ON THE BUILD!

Hey, at least they are ceramic coated. The coating holds up well too. the socket head bolts they send suck though.

Z car parts can get really pricey, but at least there is an aftermarket for them. Small market.

Hm. well in that case it's still in PA. Good talking to you as well. Hopefully we can hammer out all the details and get the ball rolling on that project.

It went to conneticut. The bumper got ripped off by the shipping company he replaced the bumper and some other things. Someone bought it in PA and towed it back with a dolly. Destroyed the face plated trans. Then he isntalled a big wing, gay seats, tubbed it out and an auto trans with straight axle. From there he kept breaking stuff and not sure who owns it now.
