Default Fuel Injection fuel pump with a carburetor return style regulator

One of the things that has been weighing on my mind about my LQ9 conversion is the use of an after-market, performance fuel pump. Because of my experience with these pumps back in my racing days, I am concerned about their durability in a regularly driven vehicle. So, I started considering running an OEM style fuel injection fuel pump with a return style carburetor fuel pressure regulator. Is anyone doing this? Any reason why I couldn't do this?

AEROMOTIVE # 13204 is made for this swap. it needs a return line. holley also has one i think.. it is part #12-803BP. You probably need at least a -6 return line...

I have the Holley return regulator already.

I left the stock ford efi fuel pump setup on my fox swap. I'm gonna put a 255 pump in at a later time ( I already have the pump just lazy )

I'm running a low pressure Efi/carb fuel return style reg from aeromotive
