Thanks Steve! Hopefully the other side for the AC compressor will turn out just as good or better.

Passenger side for AC compressor clearance. Finished depth is 4" from the front of the crossmember, 3.5" radius, and even with the top of the LCA access hole. A good portion of the LCA perch is revealed at this depth. I am only this deep because I'm using 1/2" setback adapters.

Guys when your doing these notches, can you elaborate a little on what oil pan, plates with setback amount you are using, engine mounts, frame mounts, wich accessories you are using for your swap? Much neede info for us other swappers. Nice work and pics you all have posted for us all to see.

I'm using a bastardized BRP kit. I notched the frame and put the kit in only to remove the motor due to a real cover leak. At that time I put in a holley pan and a 2nd gen Camaro driveshaft that is 1 inch shorter than a first gen. I was able to move the motor back a full inch from the BRP stock location. To do that I cut the mount ears off, located the motor then welded them back up. Note that you are limited to how far back you can push the motor based on the accessories you are using. The vettes are closest to the motor at 1.75inch offset. The 4th gen Camaro accessories are offset at 2.5inches and the newer Camaros and trucks are at 3.25inches so you cannot just say what kit you are using but the combination of the above. I am using the 4th gen F body accessories....

I need to check out your car some time. Do you frequent any of the local cruise nights or shows? I will probably be out at the next Santa Paula cruise night.

I never remember but I stopped by the Tasty Freeze on Friday night. Hit me up or just make some time and come over 5-10 miles is not that far. I am home nights and pretty much every weekend.

Sorry, referring to the AC on the same belt with all other accessories. I need to push mine forward to try to clear crossmember (may still have to notch) & the motor mounts. It's in an 86 Monte SS.
