Default O2 Bung location on a 1980 Trans am

I have a 1980 Trans am , I am putting a 2002 ws6 LS1 / 4L60e engine in, I have the motor in the car with the edelbrock headers and mounting plates, I would like to know if it's OK to put the O2 sensors about 4 to 6 inches from the doughnut gasket back from the headers. Any help would be great, also if anyone is using the stock radiator what top radiator hose did you use. Thanx

Should be fine. Edelbrock tells you to mount aft of the headers. Mine are approximately 4in behind. I thought I gave you the part # for the top radiator hose?
