LS swap AC R12?

LS swap AC R12? Im in the process of collecting parts and infromation for the LQ4 swap for the 83. I found a 2004 Silverado Denso AC compressor which is R12/R134a compatible. Since my ac system uses the R12, I really want to to keep the cold stuff and not change the condenser, fittings and lines. If its R12 compatible, does that mean i get away with running all the factory AC stuff?
